drums and organ, let's dance (waiting for my man).

yesterday, at work a 16 yr old girl asked me if i was from the 70s. and i suggested that i look more like i am from the 60s. she agreed. she said, it's the hair. made this girl happy. sometimes, i can pull it off, i guess.

songs;
nice to see you, the left banke
keep on loving me honey, marvin gaye and tammi terrell
the mamas and the papas, dedicated to the one i love
THE KINKS, house in the country
pipas, south (remix)

so, i have been busy yes.
the last two weeks, arresting.
hard to explain, but a lot of it was adjusting, slowing down, and succumbing.

the end of last week, joyous. i saw smoosh and the pipettes thanks to,
  • Treehouse Records.
  • I snapped some photos, but the place was so crowded that I couldn't get to the front for better, less blurred shots. i brought dennis with and he seemed to love the novelty.

  • the pipettes.

  • smoosh.

  • saturday, a day with my mom. in the evening after watching joy division under review, i ran over to new granada to help with ryan's show. only two bands actually played full sets when cops showed. everyone was thrown out of the building, even that minneapolis rock(???) band who have a space on the first floor,
  • Chooglin'.

  • it was messy. if you know ryan, make sure he knows he is in your thoughts. what happened on saturday night is stressing and he needs OUR support. He's done a lot for the punk community in MPLS.

    more songs,
    mc5 - call me animal
    the stooges, 1969
the velvet underground, i am waiting for my man

for the road, some chris montez for you:
